The UK FLS Database, an initiative of the Royal College of Physicians in London, has released it's third annual report on Fracture Liaison Services in England and Wales.
The report can be found here.
Looking at over 50,000 patient records, the report found that while rates of fracture identification and treatment recommendation had both increased, there was a decline in patients receiving fall assessments or being monitored post-treatment. Overall, there have been positive steps in the right direction but there is still more work to be done.
Additionally, the UK FLS Database has also released a fantastic short video that explains what FLS are and what they do. You can find it here.
